ISEPIC (1985)

ISEPIC was a Freeze cartridge released by Starpoint Software. Pronounced as Ice-Pick. I don’t think this was the first freeze cartridge, but it was one of the first. Again a ‘Freeze’ cartridge was great for by-passing start up copy protection. Basically you just wait until the program loads to the title or start screen and press the freeze button. The cartridge will save a ‘snaphot’ of the computers memory to disk that you can reload at a future time.
I also owned this one in the 80’s and still have it and the original box it came in.

Final Cartridge I & III

Final Cartridge was a Fast loader and a Freeze cartridge plus tons more.
Also included a built in Reset Button. A few other features included: screen dump, printing, 24K extra RAM, BASIC 4.0 commands, Toolkit, Machine Language monitor.
There was also a Final Cartridge II, but I have not seen any ads for it.

Gemini Bit Copier (1984)

Claims a nice 99.9% Effective! 3 Minutes Copy, Copies Bit by Bit.
Programmed in 100% machine language, writes errors, more.
Sounds great, but I never used this program and can not find a copy.

The credits show three people including Jim Drew!
The other two are Steve Bern and Darryl Millard.
My copy of the program freezes at the image below!

Fast Hack’em

Fast Hack’em by Mike J. Henry – From the Programmer of Di-SECTOR

I would say this program and Maverick where the two best software only copy programs out for the C64. This software had many versions/updates. I have seen versions from 1.1 to 9.5a. Famous for being able to copy many of the hard programs. Included a very good “nibbler” program that used Parameters to tell the nibbler how to copy or remove protection from certain titles.

The Version 4.5A menu looks the SAME as version 3.2A

Elite V4.0

It doesn’t say it in this ad, but this was a Kracker Jax product.
States that it is able to back-up the toughest protected tites on the market (1988). There are also a few parameters in the program, but not many. Here is a screen shot from a .D64 file I found. Also see: https://www.c64copyprotection.com/kracker-jax-elite-v2
