Elvira II: The Jaws of Cerberus was released by Flair software in 1992. This game is a must play game if you have a C64. It’s FUN to play and has some amazing graphics for the Commodore 64. The USA version came on 4 disks. This game does use a CODE WHEEL and thanks to Craig A. Ernster, we now have it documented online for others. Here is a PDF of the three parts: elvira codewheel. Again you just need to Print out and Cut out! Check out some screen shots from this game.
StarFlight Code Wheel
STARFLIGHT was a role-playing game released in 1989 by Electronic Arts.
It’s copy protect was a Code Wheel.
I’ve seen the two different code wheel colors.
One is Purple with white text and the other is Black with white text. I converted the purple one to black and white and posted online below.
This will be easier to print out and save you some ink!
But here is the Purple one in a PDF file just incase you want that also! Starflight Codewheel

Night Shift Code Wheel

Night Shift is a computer game developed and published in 1990 by Lucasfilm Games, now known as LucasArts. It is a unique action game where the hero is a worker in a factory owned by Industrial Might and Logic (a parody of Industrial Light and Magic). Your character ensures that the factory is working properly as it cranks out Star Wars action figures, including those of stormtroopers and Darth Vader. The object of the game is to always ensure the factory is working properly, and to move in an increasingly better home. (Wikipedia)
This game was release at the end of the game cycle on the Commodore 64 and used a code wheel for it’s copy protection. There is not one online yet.
But thanks to: Craig A. Ernster, we now have one.
Here are the two parts in a PDF, just Print out and Cut out: Night_Shift_Code_Wheel

Clone Buster Cartridge
In 1986 this ad appeared by Micro-W. I almost missed this at the bottom of the ad: The NEW CLONE BUSTER cartridge for the 64. It goes on to say that it is the best memory capture device available. Snapshot your software and save it out to standard Commodore DOS. This will back-up most 64 software and remove the annoying error tracks and difficult to load protection.
“Ron Smith: …Codebuster/SNAPSHOT 64 was rom based while all of the Super Snapshot series was rom and ram. The product was also sold for a very short time under the name of Clonebuster (or something like that … it was a US company and we parted ways quite quickly)….”

Diskbusters
Did anyone have a copy of this program? Of course from the ads image it’s a play on Ghostbusters, the movie that came out in 1984. If you haven’t seen it, watch it, it’s a classic. But the ad does state that it’s “For Professional Paranormal Disk Back-up Copying”. Well that sounds very interesting and wish I could find a copy of it now.
VERSION #2 came out in 1986.
Now with parameters to Zap though over 100 new protection scheme.
TWO DRIVE Adapter Pak is dated 1987, This was release towards the final days of Disk Buster’s. Images are below!
